El primer Mr. Olympia de Cormier fue en 1994, donde se colocó sexto. El mismo año también participó en su primer Arnold Classic e Ironman Pro Invitational donde se colocó cuarto y segundo respectivamente. En 1995 compitió en su primera "Noche de Campeones" del torneo (que ahora se llama "The New York Pro"), donde se colocó sexto. Cormier ha aparecido en muchas revistas de fitness y culturismo.
A mediados de 2006 Cormier fue hospitalizado por problemas en su columna. Y luego de su rehabilitación volvió a la competición. Actualmente vive en Londonderry, Irlanda del Norte.
